Story

My internship started with Freshworks in the month of September as a Business Intelligence Analyst and I would proudly say that I am the first Intern in the firm in United States. Freshworks provides organizations with SaaS customer engagement solutions that make it easy for support, sales and marketing professionals to communicate effectively with customers for better service and collaborate with team members to resolve customer issues. The company's products include Freshdesk, Freshservice, Freshsales, Freshcaller, Freshteam, Freshchat, Freshmarketer and Freshrelease. Founded in October 2010, Freshworks Inc., headquartered in San Mateo, California.

My work responsibilities include data transformation, data cleaning using Excel, SQL Server, creation of ETL pipelines and data visualization for designing Power BI reports and maintenance. Throughout this internship, I have developed several different reports to generate business insights for the management team by tracking key performance indicators. One such notable project was creation of Onboarding dashboard which displays data about the successful customer experience where the data was extracted from the data Lake using ETL pipeline with Snowflake Database and visualized in Power BI to create the Dashboard. As much as I enjoyed working on this I also had the opportunity to learn about extracting data through API with Postman and to create the data models.

I am grateful to Prasad, who believed in my potential and recruited me during this tough times. I would also thank Pooja Singh for making the onboarding process smooth. It was a pleasure to work with Subashini for mentoring me and guiding me throughout this journey patiently by answering all my questions.

Overall, my internship experience not only enhanced my core technical skills but provided a platform to horne my leadership skills aswell. Lastly, I wish to thank my Business Analytics Department Prof Dr. Bill Hefley, Prof. Sivya Leventhal and my Program Director Prof. Gaurav Shekar who is been a pillar of support to all the students.
